Anti-terror cops arrest and charge man, 22, in Glenrothes over alleged terrorism plot

COPS have arrested and charged a man in Fife over an alleged terrorist plot.

Police Scotland’s Counter Terrorism unit made the arrest following an intelligence-led operation in Glenrothes.

It’s claimed the man, 22, had been planning to commit acts of terrorism.

But the alleged plot was foiled when anti-terror officers are reported to have swooped.

The man was arrested on suspicion of engaging in conduct in preparation for committing acts of terrorism contrary to section 5 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2006.

Police have now said that he has been charged.
