Active shooter' situation as cops issue urgent warning - USA
Cops said Wednesday morning that they are responding to an active shooter situation unfolding in Melbourne, Florida.
Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area of Babcock Street and Strawbridge Avenue.
Melbourne Police Department said: 'Melbourne PD is actively working an active shooter situation in the area of Babcock & Strawbridge.
'Please avoid the area. Press staging area is in the parking lot north of Hibicus, west of Babcock. We will keep you updated as we receive more info.'
Police have not released additional information as of 9am EST.
