Terror probe as man charged over disturbance on flight
A man has been arrested and charged over a disturbance on an Easyjet flight from Luton to Glasgow Airport on Sunday.
Police boarded the aircraft after it landed in Glasgow at 08:20 and arrested the 41-year-old.
He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
Footage has been circulating online showing a man on an aircraft who appears to shout “death to America, death to Trump” and “Allahu Akbar” – an Arabic phrase meaning “God is great”.
Two men then tackle him and pin him to the floor of the plane. Police Scotland said the footage was being assessed by counter-terrorism officers.
The force said it believed the incident was contained and no-one else was involved.
